ok. so,
do you wanna' know what it is? here it is...
1
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus
to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You are doing this
already, and we encourage you to do so more and more. 2 For you remember what
we taught you in the name of the Lord Jesus. 3 God wants you to be holy, so you
should keep clear of all sexual sin. 4 Then each of you will control your body
and live in holiness and honor 5 not in lustful passion as the pagans do, in
their ignorance of God and his ways. 6 No one should wrong his Christian
brother or take advantage of him, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we
have solemnly warned you before. 7 God has called us to be holy, not to live
impure lives. 8 Anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying
human rules but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
(1Thes4:1-8)
Ladies
and gentlemen, I avoided this topic because it seems like there's a lot of
condemnation going on, and it's so much more "fun" to encourage one
another, rather than to admonish one another. But, the fact is, this is
important for all of us to remember (even me!!)
If you
claim to be a Christian, you need to be living like a Christian (me, too!) A
guy named Chuck Swindoll had this to say...
"If
we truly believe in a holy God, holy living will be our goal."
Will we
do it right all the time? Probably not. But our lives should not be habitually
full of sin. Our belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ
makes us sinless. Not that we won't sin... but that we should be sinning less.
Get it? What is the biggest thing that people your age are facing these days? S E
X. What does the Bible say? "Live in a way that pleases God(!)" I
promise you... you WILL be blessed!!!
